Jet Cycle in the works.

Hi all,

I've made some more progress on my toy. More ramblings about the build process can be seen here, here and here if your into this sort of thing. The bulk of it's completed, just gotta add a few details here and there and I'll be calling it done.

Here's some visual proof, in no particular order;

In the photo's above the twin bolter's & rear wing assembly have both been blu-tac'd on. I'll be casting up the wing thingy as a separate section too, just like the original. It'd be impractical to cast the bike as a single unit.

I've only got a few more weeks left before I'm heading off to sunny Melbourne, so I better get cracking. The plan (as of now) is to get this thing finished, make a silicone mold of it and take that home with me so I can cast it up there. As I previously mentioned, it's almost impossible to get hold of polyurethane resin here, in the minuscule quantities that I require. Once I return to sunny Bangkok (with my newly completed bikes) I'll continue with the rest of the Wolf Time crew and finish off the remaining project.

Good bye for now :)

  1. It's really coming together! Any chance of selling extra castings?

    1. Hi Brian,

I'm glad your liking the progress so far. Regarding the idea of selling some, if I go by the miniscule amount of comments I've received for the build so far, then I'm not sure there'd be anyone else interested? I'll wait to see what (if any) feedback I get from the final product first though.

      Cheers buddy :)

  2. Cool work! I'm not thinking of adding jetbikes to my Space Marine force, but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate the work. Keep on!

    1. Thanks Suber,

The thing is is that I can only gauge the level of interest in what I'm making/painting via the comments. If I don't get any (or minimal) feedback then it just feels like I'm talking to myself.....not a very worthwhile pursuit.

I appreciate the guys who comment of my 'work' (yourself included of course), I honestly do. But the amount has been on the decline for quite a while now (with a couple of exceptions here & there). Maybe it's because I'm terrible at finishing projects? That could be a reason why people can't be bothered commenting....I dunno. I'm starting to question whether or not I should continue blogging.

Anyway, I'm glad you like my kitbashing endeavour Suber. I aim to have this done in the next couple of weeks, Cheers man :)

  3. Mr. Papafakis, I would love to pay you for molding a few extras. I have no clue what shipping from Bangkok is like.

    1. Hi Mr Bacon,

It wouldn't cost very much.....actually, where are you located? Might help me to come to a more accurate assumption about postage costs :D

I'm happy that you like my take on the Bullock. I've only done a test cast ATM, but I aim to start casting properly in the coming weeks. I'll let you know how I progress & how much I decide to charge for the finished product after that.

      Cheers :)
