Helsreach table

Good day to you all,

I present to you all, yet another BOYL 2017 photo dump.

This time it's the awesome Helsreach table put on by Curtis & Aidan. It was so damn big and impressive that one photo would not have even come close to doing it justice. So I took a shit load of pics from different angles instead. The majority of this post is photo's, but near the bottom I've got a bit more words....if your interested in that sort of thing. Enjoy :)

This is where I entered the game. The Hovertank was a static display, but my Walker went straight on the rampage. I spied an Ork buggy entering the outskirts of the township (bottom right) and ran towards him.

Once I had him in my sights I lit him up!

And trashed his vehicle, yeah!!!!!

Then he proceeded to run towards me.....

And climbed in a commenced slicing me up :(

That was the extent of my Helsreach game. Not because I didn't want to, but because there was so much else going on and I got caught up in the moment. Next time I'm gunna make sure that I don't leave this table.

After the Helsreach jetbike race had finished, but before the terrain was packed away, I took the opportunity to take a photo of Kulo & co. with the Walker. After all, I ain't never gunna have a better backdrop than this!

Chris, photobombing my shot. Damn youuuuuu!!!!!!!

So yeah, this was without a shadow of a doubt, THE best table I have ever seen and/or played on in my entire life! I can't thank Curtis & Aidan enough for all their hard work, making all the terrain, transporting it all and making it an extremely fun and memorable experience. And Curtis gave out a free mini of the Mayor too!

Cheers :)

    1. Next year huh? I'm hoping in another two, maybe 2019. I "think" Helsreach might be getting laid out again next year. I tried to convince Curtis that it was too good to just be played on once. So fingers crossed, you may get a go at playing on it.

    1. Yeah, it was jammed packed, but very gameable at the same time. A tricky balancing act they managed to pull off.

      Cheer Phil :)

    1. That table was a thing of beauty. Couldn't wished for anything better. Mutie and co. didn't fair too well, but I loved playing nonetheless.

    1. I was basically playing on a miniature Hollywood set. Nothing will ever come close to this for the rest of my gaming life. It was utterly amazing.

I hope these pics keep you drooling for many days to come :) Glad you like them Dai.

  8. This is basically the table I dream of buying. The last photo, with the orks and the walker spilling out of the gates, is like Rogue Trader made flesh (well, plastic and lead). A great amount of work has obviously gone into it.

    1. I was completely blown away with when I first walked into the marque and laid eyes on it. I agree too, If I could have this set up in my gaming room I'd never want to make a single piece of scenery again. I hope I get to play on it again in the future. I couldn't resist that last group shot, no backdrop of mine will ever come close.

Hope my photodump brought a smile to your dial Toby :)
